Frequently Asked Questions

What age can my child start music lessons?

  • There is no set age for when your child can start music lessons. While a common guideline is around 7 years old, this is completely subjective to the child. Some children are ready as early as 5 or 6 years old and others may be better waiting until 7 or 8. Reach out to us for a free consultation to see what is right for your child.

How much do students need to practice?

  • Practice is an essential component to musical development and should occur daily. The amount of time needed will depend on what level the student is at. Beginning students may need only 10-20 minutes per day while intermediate students may need 15-25 minutes. Regular practice is the best way to ensure that both the mental and physical components of music making are properly developed and learned.
