Job Description

Anthem Academy of Music is a growing music school in Bloomington, MN, and we are seeking various teachers to join our faculty. The ideal teacher is dedicated to creating a positive and inspiring environment where students can progress and grow as musicians from their very first lesson. Lessons should emphasize proper technique and solid music fundamentals, giving students a strong foundation to understand and apply musical concepts. Strong communication with both students and parents is essential to ensure goals and expectations are clear. We are also exploring the addition of various group classes in the future, and candidates with experience teaching in group settings will receive strong consideration.

Responsibilities

• Teach private music lessons tailored to each student’s level and goals

• Demonstrate proper form and technique

• Guide and support students as they explore and develop as musicians

• Ensure lessons are engaging, effective, and enjoyable

• Maintain accurate student attendance records

• Prepare students for performances and recitals

Preferred Qualifications:

• Degree in music or related field, or current enrollment in a degree program

• Prior teaching experience

• Strong, confident performer

• Ability to teach students of varying ages and skill levels (preferably age 7+)

• Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills

• Experience teaching group lessons is a plus, though not required

Compensation:

• Private lessons: $28-36/hour

• Group classes: $40-50/hour

• Includes sick pay and paid leave (effective January 1)
