Job Description

Anthem Academy of Music is a growing music school in search of skilled teachers to join our faculty. The ideal teacher is committed to creating a positive, inspiring environment for students to progress and develop as musicians from the very first lesson. The teacher should emphasize proper technique and music fundamentals so that students can build a strong grasp of lesson concepts. Furthermore, communication is key with both the students and/or parents so that objectives are clear.

Responsibilities

• Instruct private music lessons

• Demonstrate proper form and technique

• Assist students as they explore and develop as musicians

• Ensure lessons are effective, engaging, and fun

• Maintain student attendance records

• Prepare students for performances

Preferred Qualifications:

• Degree in area of desired teaching (or proof of current enrollment in degree program)

• Past teaching experience

• Strong, confident performer

• Ability to teach all levels of learning (especially beginners) and most ages (preferably 7+)

• Strong verbal communication skills

• Piano accompaniment proficiency (for voice teachers)

Pay Range: $28-34/hour dependent on education, experience, and availability
